Last updated: June, 1992
MakeDemo is contained in three archives. Unpacked they total
something over 500 k Bytes. This schema gives interested users
the opportunity to progressively download / unpack the
pieces if what they see continues to interest them. Examine
PACKING.LST in each of the archives to see what should be there.
MDEM4A.ZIP Overview of MakeDemo
.EXE
Contains the necessary files to produce a single
.EXE executible file, DEMO.EXE from WATCH_ME.1ST
created with MakeDemo. The resulting file with about
55 screens is a fully functioning sales pitch for
MakeDemo.
MDEM3B.ZIP A More Elaborate Presentation
.EXE
This time you can create a single file presentation
of MakeDemo's "help" facilty. With about 200
screens, this presentation also created with
MakeDemo is a more elaborate example of MakeDemo's
capabilities. And this archive also contains the
MakeDemo manual.
MDEM4B.ZIP MakeDemo Files
.EXE
Contains MDEMO.EXE and the ancillary utilities such
as the screen capture utility for those who are
ready to start creating their own presentations.
Also included are the various .DOC files that
complete the MakeDemo package. And for those who
would like a bare-bones MakeDemo runtime, there's
MLITE.EXE, great for putting a user friendly front
end to your own programs in front of your users.
June, 1992
We thank you for the opportunity to show off MakeDemo.
Now you can create presentations with interactive menus. Both
MDEMO as well as the runtime MSHOW, have full mouse
support. Make professional and small single .EXE file
presentations: great for downloading from BBSes. Even "brand"
your presentations with unique serial numbers. And your
presentations can hold up to 2000 screens: great for putting
catalogs or books on disk. We're confident that, after viewing
the enclosed MakeDemo files and creating a file or two, you will
choose MakeDemo for your presentation needs.
To show you how easy it is to create a single file .EXE
presentation, let GO.BAT create a 55 screen overview of MakeDemo
and HELP.BAT create a presention of the MakeDemo "Help" file. You
might want to look at these .BAT files with a text editor to see
what is involved. It's really very simple. Anyway, run GO and
HELP to see two good examples of what you can create yourself.
If MakeDemo is for you, and we think it will be, please register.
Try MakeDemo and create a presentation or two of your own.
However, when you distribute your first presentation to whomever,
created in part or in whole with MakeDemo, YOU MUST REGISTER.
That means paying a registration fee. No IFs, ANDs, or BUTs.
Site licenses and quantity discounts are available upon request.
To register, TYPE the registration form found in REGISTER.DOC or
from the menu within DEMO.EXE or M_HELP.EXE, select the order
form amd print it out directly.
Thank you

Some Things Technical
---------------------
Presentations run on an IBM or compatible PC, XT, AT, or 386
machine with 75 K RAM with either a monochrome or color display.
For best operation the "CONFIG.SYS" file should contain the
following two lines: FILES=10 (minimum) and BUFFERS=10.
Some compatible computers might pose a problem or two. If you're
using a monochrome monitor and the display goes blank, but
bright, the chances are that your computer is equipped with a
color card. You can correct this confusion on the part of WWP
programs by typing, at the DOS prompt, MODE MONO or MODE BW80 and
then proceed as you normally would.
Both MakeDemo and ShowDemo make extensive use of the arrow keys
that on some keyboards are part of the numeric keypad. If you
experience problems, be sure that "NumLock" is off and/or that
you use the correct keypad keys.
