  25. something over 500 k Bytes. This schema gives interested users
  26. the opportunity to progressively download / unpack the
  27. pieces if what they see continues to interest them. Examine
  28. PACKING.LST in each of the archives to see what should be there.

  31. MDEM4A.ZIP              Overview of MakeDemo
  32.       .EXE
  33.              Contains the necessary files to produce a single
  34.              .EXE executible file, DEMO.EXE from WATCH_ME.1ST
  35.              created with MakeDemo. The resulting file with about
  36.              55 screens is a fully functioning sales pitch for
  37.              MakeDemo.

  40.       .EXE
  41.              This time you can create a single file presentation
  42.              of MakeDemo's "help" facilty. With about 200
  43.              screens, this presentation also created with
  44.              MakeDemo is a more elaborate example of MakeDemo's
  45.              capabilities. And this archive also contains the
  46.              MakeDemo manual.

  50.              Contains MDEMO.EXE and the ancillary utilities such
  51.              as the screen capture utility for those who are
  52.              ready to start creating their own presentations.
  53.              Also included are the various .DOC files that
  54.              complete the MakeDemo package. And for those who
  55.              would like a bare-bones MakeDemo runtime, there's
  56.              MLITE.EXE, great for putting a user friendly front
  57.              end to your own programs in front of your users.

  64. Now you can create presentations with interactive menus. Both
  65. MDEMO as well as the runtime MSHOW, have full mouse
  66. support. Make professional and small single .EXE file
  67. presentations: great for downloading from BBSes.  Even "brand"
  68. your presentations with unique serial numbers.  And your
  69. presentations can hold up to 2000 screens: great for putting
  70. catalogs or books on disk. We're confident that, after viewing
  71. the enclosed MakeDemo files and creating a file or two, you will
  72. choose MakeDemo for your presentation needs.

  74. To show you how easy it is to create a single file .EXE
  75. presentation, let GO.BAT create a 55 screen overview of MakeDemo
  76. and HELP.BAT create a presention of the MakeDemo "Help" file. You
  77. might want to look at these .BAT files with a text editor to see
  78. what is involved. It's really very simple. Anyway, run GO and
  79. HELP to see two good examples of what you can create yourself.

  84. created in part or in whole with MakeDemo, YOU MUST REGISTER.

  141. Some Things Technical
  142. ---------------------

  144. Presentations run on an IBM or compatible PC, XT, AT, or 386
  145. machine with 75 K RAM with either a monochrome or color display.
  146. For best operation the "CONFIG.SYS" file should contain the
  147. following two lines: FILES=10 (minimum) and BUFFERS=10.
  148.  
  149. Some compatible computers might pose a problem or two.  If you're
  150. using a monochrome monitor and the display goes blank, but
  151. bright, the chances are that your computer is equipped with a
  152. color card.  You can correct this confusion on the part of WWP
  153. programs by typing, at the DOS prompt, MODE MONO or MODE BW80 and
  154. then proceed as you normally would.

  156. Both MakeDemo and ShowDemo make extensive use of the arrow keys
  157. that on some keyboards are part of the numeric keypad.  If you
  158. experience problems, be sure that "NumLock" is off and/or that
  159. you use the correct keypad keys.
